GLOBAL MISSIONS

Costa Rica February 2026

In partnership with Ignite Life

Lift One Up was honored to partner with Mission Activation for its sixth missions trip to Guanacaste, Costa Rica, from February 11–18, 2026. In a unique and powerful partnership, LOU joined alongside Ignite Life, a Las Vegas-based organization, and together we embarked on a week-long journey to share and demonstrate the love of Jesus.

Our serving opportunities included:

  • Providing food and essential supplies to families in need, visiting them in their homes, praying over their circumstances, and offering encouragement and hope.

  • Serving alongside a local food pantry, where we prepared and served lunch to over 50 men, women, and children. Through engaging activities, we were able to share the joy and love of Christ in a meaningful and memorable way.

  • Alongside of Mission Activation, we hosted a Women’s Empowerment Day and shared on the importance of awareness concerning domestic abuse and human trafficking.  Testimonies were shared and many of the woman received personal ministry and prayer.  A special time of breakthrough for many!

  • Hosted  a special Family Day, creating intentional spaces for connection and ministry. Women gathered in a safe and supportive environment to share their stories, receive prayer, and be encouraged. Children participated in games and crafts designed to remind them of God’s love, while men had the opportunity to connect and receive ministry as well.

  • Assisted at Activation Church during their Sunday service, supporting various areas including kids’ ministry, hosting, and production—wherever our hands were needed.

  • A particularly cherished part of the week was spending time with the Senior Ladies group. This beautiful time of ministry and cultural exchange was filled with laughter, dancing, prayer, and genuine connection with these remarkable women.

Along with the many serving opportunities, equally important was the strengthening of our own team. Through prayer, daily devotionals, encouragement and even a memorable catamaran excursion, we deepened our unity as we served together.

Over the course of the week, we were able to serve and impact more than 35 families and over 550  individuals. To extend the love of Jesus beyond borders and into the hearts of those we encountered in Costa Rica is truly an honor and a privilege!

Costa Rica March 2026

With a team of 18 eager Christians from Las Vegas, NV, Charlotte, NC and Pensacola, FL, we set out to share God’s love and the power of Jesus Christ to the people of Guanacaste, Costa Rica from March 12-19, 2026!  Many of our team members have been a part of LOU’s previous missions’ teams, and were so excited about returning, and we had a handful experiencing the mission field and Costa Rica for the very first time! It proved to be a life changing trip to all of us!  Thank you Mission Activation for allowing us to come alongside you and serve those in need!

This is how we served…

  • Home visits providing food and essential supplies, praying for their needs, both big and small, and being a source of encouragement and hope.

  • Serving alongside a local food pantry, where we prepared breakfast and served lunch to over 55 men, women, and children. Through skits and other engaging activities, we were able to share the joy and love of Christ in both meaningful and unforgettable ways.

  • Hosting a special Family Day is something our teams truly look forward to.  Once again, we created intentional spaces for connection and ministry. Women gathered in a safe and supportive environment to share their stories, receive prayer, and be encouraged. It was beautiful to be able to minister to so many women that needed to be assured of God’s love for them and their families. Children participated in games and crafts designed to remind them of God’s love.

  • Sunday Service at Activation Church - We supported various areas of ministry during both of their Sunday services (both English and Spanish).  Helped in the prayer ministry, kids, hosting, and production—wherever our hearts and hands were needed we were ready!

  • Cha-Chi’s Senior Ladies Group!  What a special time they had scheduled for our team!! They taught us how to make tortillas, coffee and shared their Costa Rican treats with us!  Our time would not have been complete without dancing to a traditional band and lots of laughter and photos!  We ended our time together with Bingo and prizes, and of course prayer!  Oh what a memorable time we had!  We cherish these precious ladies!

Four teams and amazing team captains, not only did we enjoy serving together,  but also enjoyed daily devotionals, worship, encouragement, great meals and fun extra-curricular activities!

Over the course of the week, we were able to serve and impact more than 48 families and over 560 individuals.  The LOU Global Missions Program continues to be one that allows us to further our reach with the love and hope that Jesus gives!
