Glean – Mentoring Program  (Women and Youth)

 

  • Description – Considered the flagship program of LOU this programming ranges from six to twelve months. The commitment and desired goals will determine the required timeframe for each individual participant. Trust, personal growth and relationship building is instilled during the program period and the expectation is for the participant to see improvement, momentum and realistic goals achieved. The Mentor and Mentee will meet weekly for one hour at a location that is best suited for both of them. The mentee will be required to complete the Glean Handbook, as well as participate in any other program assignments as required.

  • Program Goals – Upon successful completion our participants will be confident in their personal value, abilities and potential; enthusiastic as they continue to pursue their goals and make an impact on the world around them. 

 

  • Goals for 2023 – We anticipate 15 participants successfully completing the Glean Mentoring Program. At present we have six (6) Mentors.  Investing and enabling them to grow in their skills with education and training is our goal for this year.

Guide – Coaching Program (Women)

​

  • Description - Six to twelve-month program utilizing the John Maxwell Coaching system, and/or other leadership curriculums.  Coaching sessions are 60-90 minutes bi-weekly. Coaching is a designed alliance between the Certified Coach and the participant with the single pursuit of meeting the participant’s intended outcome. It is a relationship based on confidentiality, trust, and honesty. The participant will be required to be accountable to their coach to meet deadlines and be intentional towards personal growth and reaching specific goals.

  • Program Goals – Participant will begin working towards short- and long-term goals; see the benefit of pursuing personal growth; and experience success in reaching realistic goals.

  • Goal for 2023 – We anticipate two (2) women completing our Coaching Program this year.

Nourish – Retreat

​

  • Description – Three (3) Day Event – Hurricane, UT

​​

  • Program Goals - Nourish will provide an opportunity for each participant to receive just what they need… time away. Each attendee can expect to be refreshed, inspired, and challenged during this special time!

​​

  • Goal for 2023 – Three (3) wonderful days of inspired teaching, incredible worship, prayer and connecting with a group of amazing women!

Global Missions 

​

  •  Description – Work with international organizations that provide rehabilitation and restoration to victims of human trafficking. Conduct workshops, participate in local outreaches, and provide materials and lessons that aide in personal and spiritual growth. Financial and material resources will be provided on an as needed basis as we work with individual organizations. LOU teams will consist of four (4) to eight (8) participants.

  • Program Goal – Teach and train; participate in outreach ministry and assist with necessary resources for victims of human trafficking.

​​

  • Goals for 2023 – Due to the COVID Pandemic, mission’s trips scheduled for Cambodia are postponed this year. We have a team scheduled to go to Costa Rica in June of this year. The potential impact should exceed 200 women and families.

Connecting Hands - Community Partnerships 

​

  • Description – Expanding our reach locally. Uniting with organizations that are positively impacting our region and have a shared vision with LOU.

​​

  • Partnership Goal for 2023 – To build LOU’s capacity to serve more people with specific needs in the community by impacting women and youth. We anticipate collaborating with two (2) additional organizations this year. We are continuing our partnerships with Refuge for Women (Las Vegas Chapter),  Youth Leadership Authority (YLA). Salvation Army (Las Vegas Chapter) and ChurchLV.
